Dr Amjad Malik BDS DGDP RCS (UK)

In a career spanning more than 30 years during which he has continually updated his knowledge and technical skills, Dr Malik has accumulated a wealth of experience in treating patients. Having a particular interest in implants, bite disorders and reconstructive dentistry he is able to deal with a wide range of patients’ needs from routine care to jaw joint problems and heavily broken-down teeth. Dr Hanmeng Ma BDS MFDS RCS (Ed)

Dr Ma qualified from King’s College London with Honours, and passed her Royal College of Surgeons exams in 2012. Since then, she has attended a variety of postgraduate courses to diversify her skills, which include aesthetic dentistry. Dr Ma enjoys working with her patients to improve their oral health with the aim of keeping their natural teeth for life. She is also happy to improve smiles conservatively using tooth whitening and short-term adult braces, or with minimal preparation veneers.
Dr Hemini Patel BDS MFDS RCS (Ed)
Dr Patel qualified from King’s College London and then spent a year in hospital training at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at the Royal London Hospital. There she developed a particular interest in facial aesthetics. After further postgraduate studies she completed the Royal College of London exams, undertaking a one-year course in aesthetic and restorative dentistry with Aspire Academy, and becoming an Invisalign accredited provider. Dr Patel provides general dentistry alongside facial aesthetics, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.
Adele Dobson BA(Hons) AdvDipNutMed MNNA MIFM
Adele Dobson is a qualified and experienced nutritional therapist who works with patients to improve their general level of health. Her approach is particularly helpful with the following: digestive health, female and hormonal health, chronic fatigue syndrome, ME and fibromyalgia, Immune dysregulation or autoimmune disorders including allergies, 0ptimising nutrition for special diets, and for improving general health. She adopts a Functional Medicine approach involving treatment of the whole person, rather than just the symptoms.

Catherine qualified as a dental hygienist from Guy’s Hospital in 2000. She still enjoys attending postgraduate training courses whenever she can, keeping up-to-date with new developments. Before joining us at Woodford House, she worked in private practices in London’s West End. Catherine enjoys working with adults and children, and takes a strong interest in patients’ health and welfare, making a point of teaching her patients the best way to maintain their dental health. Nervous patients find her informal and friendly manner quickly puts them at their ease.
Amy Melia Dip. Dent. Hygiene & Therapy

Amy graduated from Newcastle School of Dental Hygiene and Therapy, with Merit in December 2011. Before that she worked as a dental nurse for 8 years. She has been working with us at Woodford House ever since, as a hygienist and therapist providing oral health care. Amy regularly attends postgraduate training courses and has a particular interest in Periodontics. She enjoys improving patients’ oral health and helping them maintain it.
Stephanie Norris BSc (Hons), EDH, Dip DHE

Stephanie qualified as a hygienist from the Eastman Dental Hospital in 1987 and has worked in both hospital and private practice settings. Over the years as dentistry has become more complex, she has undertaken numerous training courses to add to and enhance her skills – always keen to keep up with new developments. Her approach is calm, gentle and supportive so all her patients feel at ease. Stephanie has particular experience in working with nervous adults and children.
Senior Dental Assistant

Victoria is the senior dental nurse at Woodford House. She qualified in 2008 and has continued to extend her knowledge and skills with postgraduate courses on a regular basis. She holds a certificate in dental radiography and can take impressions. Victoria has been at Woodford House for several years and her friendly, caring nature and exceptional organisational skills are a great asset to the practice.

Izabela has been part of the team since 2017. She is experienced in endodontic, orthodontic and general dentistry. Izabela enjoys treating children and her calming manner is especially welcomed by nervous patients. Izabela enjoys baking and keeps the whole team happy with her delicious cakes.

Ausra has recently completed her dental nurse training, and qualified in November 2020. She enjoys helping with all aspects of dentistry, but particularly cosmetic treatments because patients look so happy when they see the results! In her spare time Ausra enjoys long walks in the countryside, and good food.
Linda, Senior Dental Receptionist
Linda joined the team in 2019. She is the first point of contact for new patients from our front desk. Linda is always happy to assist in arranging appointments and answering your questions.
Moona has worked at Improve Your Smile for many years. As well as managing the practice, Moona helps patients coordinate their appointments and sees to the financial side of things too. She particularly enjoys talking to patients, many of whom have become friends. Moona’s calm and caring manner makes people feel at ease and she is always delighted when patients express happiness with the service at Woodford House – especially those who were initially nervous about seeing a dentist at all.
Away from the practice, Moona is one of the judges for the annual Dentistry Awards.
