All the staff at Woodford House Dental Practice are approachable, and we’re happy to answer questions about your treatment or any dental issues. As a team, our primary aim is to help you keep your mouth healthy and comfortable for your lifetime – and for you to maintain a set of well-functioning teeth for as long as possible. In our practice you can be assured of a warm welcome – and genuine care and attention.
Dr Amjad Malik BDS DGDP RCS (UK)
GDC No. 57191
In a career spanning 40 years during which he has continually updated his knowledge and technical skills, Dr Malik has accumulated a wealth of experience in treating patients. Having a particular interest in implants, bite disorders and reconstructive dentistry he is able to deal with a wide range of patients’ needs from routine care to jaw joint problems and heavily broken-down teeth. Dr Evangelina Gazani DDS MSc (Endo)
GDC No. 174743
Dr Gazani qualified at the Dental School of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki before gaining a Master’s degree in Endodontics with Distinction at the Eastman Dental Institute in London. She is now a Specialty Doctor there. At Woodford House she accepts referrals for root canal treatment and all other non-surgical endodontic processes to save natural teeth. Away from work she enjoys family life with her husband and children.
Dr Spencer Richman BDS MSc (Endo)
GDC No. 80497
Dr Richman qualified from Manchester University in 2002 and obtained his Master’s degree in Endodontology in 2015. He has teaching experience and is on the panel of examiners for the Royal College of Surgeons. His particular focus is on providing root canal treatment and all other non-surgical endodontic processes that save natural teeth – and he is happy to accept referrals. In his leisure time, he enjoys time with his wife and children, cycling and sessions at the gym.
Dr Balal Hussain BDS
GDC No. 213068
Dr Hussain qualified from Queen Mary University in London in 2011. He is a member of the College of Dentistry and holds a Diploma in Dental Implants from the Eastman Dental Institute. He particularly enjoys restorative dentistry, and building patients’ confidence in their smiles. His gentle and caring approach is much appreciated by patients, especially those who arrive feeling nervous. Away from work, he enjoys meditation and mindfulness – and the outdoors.
Dr Hina Awasthy MuDr, Dentistry

Dr Awasthy qualified from Charles University, Prague in 2005. She is currently enjoying teaching undergraduate dental students as their Clinical Tutor at King’s College London. Her main interest is in minimally invasive dentistry including whitening, bonding and short-term orthodontics (Invisalign). She has a caring and gentle approach with significant experience treating anxious adults and children. Away from dentistry she enjoys time with her family, singing and jewellery design.
Dr Hanmeng Ma BDS MFDS RCS (Ed)
GDC No. 193176
Dr Ma qualified from King’s College London with Honours and passed her Royal College of Surgeons exams in 2012. Since then she has attended a variety of postgraduate courses to diversify her skills, which include aesthetic dentistry: she is happy to improve smiles conservatively using tooth whitening and short-term adult braces or minimal preparation veneers. Currently, she is taking a sabbatical to enjoy being a full-time parent to her new baby daughter. We look forward to her return!
Stephanie Norris BSc Hons, EDH, Dip DHE
GDC No. 3341
Stephanie qualified from the Eastman Dental Hospital in 1987. Since then she has taken many additional courses to update and enhance her skills. She has worked in hospital and private practice settings, and has particular experience in working with nervous adults and children. Her approach is calm, gentle and supportive, so all her patients feel at ease. Away from work, Stephanie enjoys being with friends and family.

Victoria qualified in 2008. She has been Senior Dental Nurse at Woodford House for several years during which time she has developed her knowledge and skills with various postgraduate courses. She holds a Certificate in Dental Radiography and can take impressions. Her caring nature and exceptional organisational skills are a great asset to the practice. In her own time, she likes to travel – especially walking holidays exploring the UK.

Izabela has been part of the team since 2017. She is a dental nurse experienced in endodontic, orthodontic and general dentistry. Izabela particularly enjoys treating children, but her calming manner is welcomed by patients of all ages – especially those who are more nervous. At home, Izabela enjoys baking – and makes sure the whole team at Improve Your Smile are kept happy with her delicious cakes!

Ausra has recently completed her dental nurse training and qualified in November 2020. She enjoys helping with all aspects of dentistry, but particularly cosmetic treatments because patients look so happy when they see the results! In her spare time Ausra enjoys long walks in the countryside, and good food.
Moona has worked at Improve Your Smile for many years managing the practice, coordinating appointments and overseeing the financial side. Moona particularly enjoys talking to patients, many of whom have become friends. Her calm, caring manner puts people at ease. She is always delighted when patients express happiness with the service at Woodford House – especially those who were initially nervous. Away from the practice, Moona is one of the judges for the annual Dentistry Awards. In her spare time Moona enjoys being with her family, cooking and going to the theatre.
Adele Dobson BA(Hons) AdvDipNutMed MNNA MIFM
Adele Dobson is a qualified and experienced nutritional therapist who works with patients to improve their general level of health. Her approach is particularly helpful with the following: digestive health, female and hormonal health, chronic fatigue syndrome, ME and fibromyalgia, immune dysregulation or autoimmune disorders including allergies, optimising nutrition for special diets, and for improving general health. She adopts a Functional Medicine approach involving treatment of the whole person, rather than just the symptoms.
