To all our patients

Reopening Wednesday 10th June

29 May 2020
We are delighted to announce our doors will open once again on 10th June. Urgent appointments have been offered to those patients who have been in pain while the practice has been closed. During this time we have been contacted by over 70 patients waiting to be seen.
On your return to the practice, you will find a number of changes have been made in the interests of patient safety, including the following:

    • An anti-viral clean air system is now installed throughout the practice
    • Hand sanitisers are available
    • A transparent screen at the reception desk makes safe communication easier
    • A staggered appointments system enables distancing between patients
    • Designated appointment times will be for vulnerable people only
    • Extra time has been added between appointments, for disinfecting rooms

Our team have been working hard since the enforced closure of all dental practices back in March, to ensure we can serve our patients in the best possible way. Every member has had additional training in hygiene and the prevention of cross-infection, so we are all well-versed in the new procedures so you can feel safe when you’re in our practice. Of course, this works both ways – so we also need you, our patients, to observe certain rules. These are outlined here.

We are grateful to you, our patients, for your understanding and cooperation.

Your safety is our priority

Given the unprecedented situation in the UK regarding the COVID-19 virus we wish to reassure you that we are continuing to keep our practice clean and safe for both you and our team. We have followed the HTM 0105 Best Practice Guidelines for Cross Infection Control for all dental practices since its inception. We are regularly checking with Public Health England for updates in the interests of safety and wellbeing for our patients and team, and adjusting our protocols as and when advised.

We are open as usual for new, existing and emergency appointments but please return to this page for updates.

Know the guidance

Before attending your next appointment, please review the most up to date government guidance here. If you have a raised temperature or a continuous cough, please do not come to the practice.

Coming for your appointment

As a team, we are doing everything we possibly can to remain fit, well and able to work so that we can continue to provide our usual high standard of dental care. This is what we ask of you, our patients:

  1. Before you come, please review the most up to date government guidance here.
  2. On arrival at the practice, please wash your hands and do so again after leaving the Treatment Room.
  3. In the reception area and waiting room, please stand or sit at least one metre apart where possible.
  4. DO NOT COME INTO THE PRACTICE if you are unwell and display any of the Coronavirus symptoms – notably a high temperature or a continuous cough.

If you prefer to reschedule any of your booked appointments, please call us on 020 8504 2704 or email us at care@improveyoursmile.co.uk. We should be happy to arrange an alternative date for you. Do ask if you have any questions – we are here to help you.
